Healthcare
Qatar offers state-of-the art health and medical services, with superb facilities run by both public and private health care providers. There is a wide selection of Private Health Care clinics to choose from with private practice operating under strict national guidelines. Foreigners tend to prefer using the private system and most people take out international or local health insurance to cover the costs. Foreigners can apply for a Health Card to take advantage of the state-sponsored service, but will need to pay supplementary charges for tests, consultations and in-patient care.
Education
Qatar has a wide range of educational choices from nurseries through junior and secondary school, University and Postgraduate study. There is good choice of private schools including International Schools that have a very good reputation for their high standards of education. These schools offer a range of different educational programmes to suit their international pupil base including International Baccalaureate (IB), British and American curricula.
